Amy grew up in Westfield, NJ–a Jersey girl!  She received her BA from the University of Florida in Gainesville and then completed her Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Kean University in Union, NJ. Amy is a certified member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and has received its ACE award for continued professional study 14 times, most recently receiving it in 2024. She has experience in the public and private school sectors and has guest lectured at colleges and universities. Amy completed PROMPT Level III training for motor speech therapy as well as a 28 hour intensive for Orofacial Myology. She has achieved her QOM (Qualified Orofacial Myologist) and earned certification in orofacial myology via the IAOM in 2020.  Amy is a trainer for the Lively Letters Literacy program.  As an experienced telepractice provider since 2016, she provides support and training for those interested in providing speech-language-literacy-orofacial myology services via teletherapy.  In 2021, Amy completed her training to become a certified provider of the Story Grammar Marker, a program used to develop narrative language.  Amy was a member of the adjunct faculty at Kean University in Union, New Jersey.  She is licensed to practice in California, Florida, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.

In her spare time, Amy enjoys going to see theater (especially if her daughter, Maddie, is performing), spending time with her husband and daughter and hugging dogs. 🐶
